Deputies investigate shots fired
Deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office were called out to Haywire Gulch for a report of shots fired. A resident initially reported her neighbor shot toward her granddaughter and dogs, but it was determined he shot into the ground as two pit bulls were getting close to his chickens and sheep. He said his neighbor then fired several rounds into the air.
An ongoing neighbor dispute on Dorothy Street in Columbia Falls logged another match when one of the neighbors reported the other was videotaping him when he was loading his vehicle. He was told it was not illegal for his neighbor to film him from his own property.
A student at a Kalispell school got more than they bargained for after throwing a rock at a basketball hoop. The rock missed the hoop and hit a teacher’s car, shattering a window.
