Driver leaves scene after causing rollover

Kalispell Police Department officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run wreck in which one auto rolled early Sunday morning at Ninth Avenue West and Fifth Street West. According to police dispatch records, a female driver was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated.

An officer took a walk-up complaint at the emergency room for a possible partner-family member assault or assault with a weapon. The victim was stabbed in the neck with a knife.

Two pedestrians stopped at a store around 1:30 a.m. said that they were walking home and just admiring the store’s “self-serve dog wash” sign.

Later that morning, someone reported a vehicle gone through and trashed on Yellowstone Street.

A man on Fifth Street West woke up to find his white Ford Escort missing. It was parked in the alley, locked with a full tank of gas.

Sunday afternoon, someone reported kids recklessly driving a four-wheeler on Harlequin Court.

A table and chairs were stolen off the front porch of a home on Third Avenue East.

A 36-year-old woman on a swing set was reportedly harassing people at a graduation party.

Someone on Third Avenue East reported finding a fake tree in a pot sitting on their front porch.

Saturday night, someone found a bag of marijuana on a shelf in a store on Hutton Ranch Road. The store requested an officer to pick it up.

A man in a parking lot on North Main Street was accusing another man of touching young girls. The suspect, from Alberta, left before police arrived.

A man and his girlfriend reported a rape and assault that occurred on June 1.

Earlier Saturday, a teenage boy was cited for shoplifting and released to his mother.

Someone reported the driver of a red Jeep Liberty throwing trash out the window on Wolfpack Way.

A winch was stolen from the bumper of a truck parked along U.S. 93.

Someone wanted to file a report that an elected official has broken the law and tampered with evidence.

A wallet found at the intersection of Hawthorn and Liberty streets was turned in to police.

Police were investigating the theft of prescription drugs from a business on Crestline Avenue.

Saturday morning, someone on Grace Road reported the theft of a chainsaw to the Columbia Falls Police Department.

Later that afternoon, police made a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue West and cited a man for possession of drugs.

Suspicious activity on JP Road was reported early Saturday morning to the Whitefish Police Department.

Police responded to a report of someone making threats on East Third Street.

Saturday night, disorderly conducted was reported in downtown Whitefish.
