Alice Marie Norquay Simons, 78

Alice Marie Norquay Simons was born in Whitefish on May 16, 1934.

She survived breast cancer to succumb to Alzheimer's-related disease on May 23, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 78.

Alice married Roy S. Simons Dec.31, 1951. They owned and operated Kalispell Taxi Company while raising five children.

Roy and Alice traveled extensively throughout the United States, living in Arizona until 1993, when Roy preceded her in death. She moved to Texas in 2000 to live with her family until present.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister, husband and two sons.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond and wife Carole of San Antonio, and Kevin of Seaside, Ore.; and a daughter, Louella, in Richland, Wash.

There are four grandchildren Raysha, Christopher, Timothy and Claude Griffin; along with two great-grandchildren Nevaeh and Chase.

Interment will be at 3 p.m. today, June 6, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
