Dad wants help busting his son with Jack

A concerned father requested a deputy from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to help him bust his son after he was caught with a bottle of Jack Daniels at Bigfork High School. The man said the bottle had come from one of his work sites.

An irate customer called to report a theft after leaving his lawnmower blade at a sharpening business. He went to pick it up and workers were out on a service call, not to return for several hours, and he said it was unacceptable.

In the second such incident in a week, a bee hive was vandalized on U.S. 93 West in Whitefish.

An East Evergreen Drive man reported someone throwing rocks at his home.

A storage unit was broken into on Auction Road.

A boy was apprehended attempting to shoplift from a store on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

A Kalispell woman reported someone has been using her Social Security number to get credit cards.

A boy was arrested on Nicholson Drive on a warrant.

A refrigerator was stolen from a foreclosed home on Pine Bench in Columbia Falls.

A street department crew contacted the Kalispell Police Department after a driver did a burnout on fresh asphalt. A member of the crew tried to get the driver to wait for police to arrive, but he cursed at them and drove off.

Someone cut two locks off a cargo container on U.S. 93 South and may have stolen one or two safes from inside.

Several vehicles were vandalized on Second Avenue East, with the grills broken off, windows broken out and gas tanks siphoned. Scrap metal was also stolen from the scene.

Someone smashed the back window of a vehicle on Second Avenue East and stole an iPod charger.

Someone smashed the driver’s side window and back window out of a vehicle on River View Drive.

A bicycle was stolen on Fifth Avenue West.

A Martha Road resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department after a woman showed up at his house and started going through his shed, then got on top of his car and started stomping on it. She also pulled her pants down in front of the home.

A report by an 11-year-old girl that she had been taken and put in a truck by a 40-year-old man, then released, turned out to be made up.

A Third Avenue West resident complained about a group of people in the yard outside playing loud, crude music for hours.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department arrested a person during a traffic stop on West Second Street.

A motorist was arrested for driving under the influence on U.S. 93 South.

A physical disturbance was reported on Wedgewood Lane.

A theft was reported on U.S. 93 West.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a person on a probation violation in the Pache area.

A partner or family member assault was investigated on Arlee Pines Road.

The Polson Police Department is looking for information about a crash at 2:30 a.m. Friday, when a vehicle was driven through several fences and struck a house on Seventh Avenue West before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on 11th Avenue West. Anyone with information can contact the department at (406) 883-7301.

A 48-year-old Missoula man was arrested for unlawful transactions with children after officers responded to a report that a boy had paid a homeless man to buy him alcohol in the Riverside Park area. The boy was also located with an open beer.
