A 29-year-old Kalispell man was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Missoula to three years in jail and 15 years of probation for possessing child pornography.

According to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Justin Snow admitted downloading child pornography for about eight years using peer-to-peer software.

The admission came after deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office searched his home as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation.

Pornographic images and videos of children were found on Snow’s computers, an external hard drive and CDs.

Snow was also ordered to pay a special assessment of $100.
