Tenant-landlord dispute 'overflows'
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was brought into a dispute between a landlord and soon-to-be-evicted tenants on U.S. 2 West in Marion. The landlord reported the tenants, who have three days left to leave, said they were going to retaliate and have tampered with the septic system and flooded a field. A dog was also reportedly being neglected.
Two men were in contact with deputies about an ongoing fight, where one accused the other of posting lies about him on Craigslist and the other said he posted no lies and argued that the first man had been posting lies about him.
The first man said if the other did not give him a formal apology he was going to track him down and beat him up. A deputy told him he could go to jail for assault, and the man responded by saying if that was what had to happen, so be it.
A man called with questions about a trailer his son had bought. The trailer was paid for in full and his son has the bill of sale, but the previous owner’s son has been living inside and refuses to move out.
A Pine Bench resident in Columbia Falls called with questions about a neighbor that reportedly shot another neighbor’s dog.
A man was apprehended while attempting to shoplift from a business on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.
License plates were stolen off a vehicle and replaced with other plates on Syth Lane.
A storage unit was burglarized on Auction Road.
Tools including a $1,000 handheld demolition saw were stolen on Montana 35.

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of a drunk middle-aged man pushing his bicycle near Conrad Drive, then leaning against a tree, barely able to stand. The man told officers he was going to rest and watch a softball game and then go home. He was advised of an active warrant.
