Windows shot in several Kalispell locales
Windows were reported shot with BB or similar style guns at several locations, Kalispell Police reported. Several businesses along North Meridian Road and a home on West California Street were discovered to have pellet or BB holes in the windows, and a Second Street East resident said the windows on his house were shot as well.
A group of four boys were scared off while trying to steal pallets and construction materials from a construction site on Hilltop Avenue.
A Sixth Avenue West North woman reported someone had been tearing up her yard with a vehicle for the last couple of days.
A girl was apprehended trying to shoplift from a store on U.S. 93 South. She was releasted to her father.
Medication was stolen from the glove box of a vehicle on East Center Street.
A bicycle was stolen on Boise Avenue.
A pair of sunglasses were stolen from West Idaho Street.
In tragic news, a 2-month-old baby died at a home on Seventh Avenue West. Police officers responded along with personnel from the Kalispell Fire Department after receiving a report of an unresponsive infant. The child’s mother had begun resuscitation efforts, which fire department paramedics took over upon arrival, but the efforts were unsuccessful and the infant was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be performed at the Montana State Crime Lab.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of several youths on the stage at Sliter Park in Bigfork playing drums and electric guitar. The person said they were not playing music, just “going crazy with noise.”
A Maple Drive resident reported someone tried to break through their front door while they were home.
A person was seen driving a motorcycle approximately 60 miles per hour down Eighth Avenue West.

Banking records were stolen from a home on Lauman Road.
A Social Security check was stolen from a mailbox on Trap Road in Columbia Falls and later cashed.
Scrap metal was stolen near Aluminum Drive in Columbia Falls.
Criminal mischief was reported at Woodlawn Cemetery on Ninth Street West.
The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of theft on Sixth Street West.
