Fay June Fisher, 79

Fay June Fisher, 79, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012, in Kalispell.

Fay was a Flathead Valley native born in Marion. She was delivered at home by a midwife and weighed 3 pounds, 4 ounces on June 30, 1932.

She spent her life as a mother and waitress residing in the Whitefish area. Fay enjoyed her last few years at Friendship House in Kalispell and also her winter stays in Yuma, Ariz.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Hazel Neas; daughter, Libby Kettel; and son, Harley Fisher.

Fay is survived by her brother, Larry Neas of Anchorage, Alaska; son, Hal Fisher of Whitefish; and daughter, Linda Fay of Sammamish, Wash.

She was always very proud of her seven grandchildren, Mark Fisher, Ryan Fisher, Renee Fisher, Andy Fay, Molly Fisher, Joey Kettel and Christy Kettel.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Friendship House.

A graveside service for Fay will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls. A luncheon will follow services at 1 p.m. at Sykes Restaurant in Kalispell.
