Single-engine plane bounces on landing

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Meadow Creek Airfield Saturday morning, where a single-engine plane came down hard and bounced as it landed, collapsing the nose gear. No one was injured in the rough landing and the runway remained open. The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The Kalispell Police Department received reports of graffiti on buildings on U.S. 93 North, First Avenue West and Fourth Street West.

Officers were unable to locate a pair of men who were reported shooting into the water at Tally Lake Campground before leaving, drunk, in a sport utility vehicle.

A man was caught on video trying to cash a gift card at a Hutton Ranch Road business after stealing it, a checkbook and other items from a vehicle.

A group of teenagers, one of which had two black eyes, stole a 24-pack of Dr. Pepper from a business on First Avenue East North.

A 10th Avenue West resident reported an 18-year-old man took her ATM card and used it to withdraw cash.

Several items were stolen from a home on Eighth Avenue West.

A theft was reported on Hutton Ranch Road.

Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department made an arrest while investigating a report of a verbal fight between a man and a woman on 10th Avenue West.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department arrested a person during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South.

Criminal mischief was reported on East Third Street.

Disorderly conduct was reported on Depot Street.

A theft was reported on Suncrest Drive.
