Joanne Margaret LaMarsh (Wagar), 61

Joanne Margaret LaMarsh (Wagar), 61, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at her residence in Marion.

She was born on Nov. 26, 1950, in Troy, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph Francis and Margaret Frances (Bowen) LaMarsh. She was raised in Troy and attended and graduated from Troy High School.

She owned and managed a country store at Bitterroot Lake for many years; and for the last 20 years worked as a bookkeeper for Wagar Logging in Marion.

Joanne loved cooking, fishing and traveling — she enjoyed a trip to Europe — and loved to be around her family and her dogs and wildlife.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph LaMarsh.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret LaMarsh, of Troy; her longtime companion, Dennis Wagar, of Marion; her sister, Fran Schrag, of Fort Mill, S.C.; a brother, Rick LaMarsh, and wife, Brenda, of Avon, N.Y.; two nieces, Heather Librande and husband Cory of Littleton, Colo., and Stephanie Wood of Thornton, Colo.; and a nephew, Zachary LaMarsh .

A visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in Troy, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
