Hospital gives man 'extreme' makeover

You can see why there was some confusion. It’s not everyday that a man wearing a hospital gown and hospital pants walks into a business to buy a pack of cigarettes and then asks where he can go to gamble and smoke.

That’s what happened in a First Avenue East business, and an employee who was concerned about the well-being of the customer called the Kalispell Police Department to make sure everything was all right with the man who might well have looked like a runaway patient. It was quickly determined, however, that the hospital had lost all the man’s clothes, so the hospital garb was all he had to wear at the time.

A River View Drive woman reported her neighbor’s dogs have attacked her dog while she was walking it on two occasions.

A group of panhandlers were reported on U.S. 93 North.

A cell phone was stolen on Sunny View Lane.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a deluge of theft reports from Monday morning through early Tuesday morning.

Someone broke into and stole several items from a Burlington Northern truck on U.S. 2 East in Coram.

Someone smashed out the window of a vehicle and ransacked it on Woodland Park Drive.

A chop saw was stolen from a home on Oakmont Loop in Columbia Falls.

Chain link fencing was stolen from around a baseball diamond on Lake Blaine Road.

A theft was reported on King’s Way.

A video camera was stolen on Harmony Road.

A Zuma scooter was stolen on Kokanee Bend Drive in Columbia Falls.

Someone cut through the back of a fence around a Montana 35 property in Evergreen and stole fuel.

A Ranch Lane resident reported that his roommate had drunkenly taken an axe to his computer.

A winter home on Forest Drive was vandalized.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of assault on Kalispell Avenue.

A theft was reported in downtown Whitefish.

Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a person for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol on U.S. 93.

Disorderly conduct was discovered by deputies investigating a report of suspicious activity on 10th Avenue East.

Officers with the Ronan Police Department reported that a person resisted arrest at St. Luke’s Hospital.

A saloon was burglarized in town as well.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office discovered a person in possession of dangerous drugs during a traffic stop on U.S. 93.

While responding to a report of a possible weapons offense, deputies discovered an incident of criminal endangerment.
