All four lanes are now open on West Idaho Street
Most of West Idaho Street now is open for traffic in Kalispell.
Traffic had been constricted on the roadway between First Avenue West North and Meridian Road during major reconstruction work.
Now striping is completed and most of the work zone has been opened for through traffic.
Shoulder work still is under way on both sides of the highway and spot grinding is scheduled Monday and Tuesday. This will involve a moving work zone with intermittent lane closures.
The 12-foot-wide width restriction as well as turning restrictions have been lifted.
The $1.699 million contract for the project covering six-tenths of a mile was awarded to Riverside Contracting Inc. of Missoula.
Work on the West Idaho Street project started April 9. Traffic had been reduced to two lanes since April 22.
