A 51-year-old Kalispell man on Thursday changed his plea to guilty to felony intimidation for making a bomb threat in an Evergreen bar.

On Sept. 9, 2011, just two days before the 10-year anniversary of the destruction of the World Trade Center, Scott Walsh made a statement about a bomb in the bar before leaving by the back door.

Employees who heard him make the comment then notified police and the bar was evacuated until it could be confirmed that there was no bomb.

Walsh was arrested later that evening after returning to the bar.

Walsh changed his plea Thursday in Flathead District Court as part of an agreement with a suggested five-year suspended sentence with the option to argue for a lower sentence.

His sentencing is scheduled for April 26.
