Young musicians from seven local schools will come together Monday for a fundraising concert in Glacier Kiwanis’ “Nite of Jazz.”

The seventh annual show will feature bands from Whitefish Middle School, Whitefish High School, Glacier High School, Flathead High School, Kalispell Middle School, Columbia Falls High School and Stillwater Christian School.

Money raised at the concert will be divided among the seven bands and Glacier Kiwanis, said Carla Weber, president of the local club.

Her group is dedicated to helping children.

Glacier Kiwanis provides lunch for the March of Dimes during its annual run, helps with the Salvation Army and assists with “just anything that comes up in the community,” said Weber, who is in her second year as president.

“It doesn’t have to do with kids, but that’s what we prefer. The organization is all about kids,” she added.

Monday’s Nite of Jazz concert starts at 7 p.m. at the Whitefish Middle School auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door for $5 for adults and $3 for students.
