Today is the last chance Whitefish voters have to cast ballots on a bond request to renovate Whitefish High School.

Voters have from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today to cast ballots at the district office, downstairs in Whitefish Middle School.

School district Business Clerk Danelle Reisch estimated that more than half of the 8,800 ballots mailed out in February have been returned.

If approved, the $14 million will help fund a $19 million renovation project. The project will include demolition of A and C wings to build an addition, plus remodeling of the B wing and gymnasium, among other improvements.

Owners of a home valued at $200,000 would see annual taxes increase by $53.95.
