Filing opens for school trustee candidates

The filing deadline is March 29 for candidates for 39 area school trustee positions.

Candidates wishing to run may obtain and file nomination petitions and oath of candidacy forms at their respective school districts.

A candidate must be a resident of the school district they wish to serve. They also must have lived in the state and county for at least 30 days, be registered voters and U.S. citizens at least 18 years old.
