Flood drips through ceiling

Kalispell Police got a report just after midnight Monday from a Second Avenue East resident who reported that water was coming through the ceiling from an upstairs neighbor’s apartment. An officer forced the door open to stop the flooding, which caused damage that will require construction repairs.

There was a report of speakers stolen from a vehicle while it was in a parking lot on North Main Street.

There was a report of a bicycle stolen from a residence on Liberty Street.

A Second Avenue West resident reported that the passenger window was broken out and a driver’s side door handle broken off his car.

There was a report of a “Quiet Skies” sign and a post stolen from a yard at a residence on Fifth Avenue West.

On Sunday, a gun that two people were trying to pawn at an East Idaho pawnshop was confiscated because of suspicion that it had been stolen in Texas.

There was a report of a window shot with a pellet gun at a residence on Fifth Avenue East.

A person calling from a Woodland Drive address reported that a daughter had taken the reporting party’s vehicle several days ago without returning it.

There was a report of a burglary at an East Oregon Street residence, with children’s clothing stolen. A suspected restraining order violation was involved.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report of a runaway boy assaulted Sunday. The victim required treatment at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room.

There was a report of an assault that occurred at a McGregor Lake fishing derby.

There was a report of a reckless driver in a red Jeep almost causing multiple accidents while traveling eastbound on Montana 40 toward Columbia Falls.

A woman calling from a Montana 83 address in the Bigfork area reported that her boyfriend beat her Saturday night at the home of some friends.

There was a report of pain pills stolen from a residence on Days Acres Lane.

At about 2 a.m. Monday, there was a report from a U.S. 2 address in Martin City regarding a woman who had been assaulted at a bar in town earlier that night. The victim said she was intoxicated and did not remember who hit her.

After Columbia Falls Police conducted a traffic stop on Sixth Avenue West Sunday afternoon, a person was arrested and taken to the county jail.
