| March 19, 2012 7:15 PM

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found in a vehicle in the lower Yaak Valley Sunday afternoon.

The body of the 69-year-old Libby man was discovered at about 2 p.m.

“The victim died of suspicious circumstances,” a press release from the Sheriff’s Office states.

Asked to elaborate, Sheriff Roby Bowe said, “It just didn’t look like a normal suicide.”

Bowe said firearms were not involved, and the cause of death will be determined by the State Crime Lab in Missoula, where the man’s body was taken for an autopsy.

Bowe said it may take time to release the victim’s identity because no family members could be located as of late Monday afternoon.
