Flathead orchestra puts on show for senior night

| May 3, 2012 2:57 PM

The Flathead High School orchestra will present its annual Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in the Flathead High School auditorium.

The concert will feature Flathead’s Concert and Chamber orchestras, in a celebration of music and seniors.

Tuesday's concert will feature a variety of pieces, from Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Strings" to "Beauty and the Beast." Both orchestras recently performed at the District Music Festival held in Kalispell in April.

Orchestra members who performed at the District and State music festivals will also be honored, along with those who earned their orchestra letter or pins. Seniors will be recognized for all their hard work over the years. There will be an informal reception in the commons following the concert.

The concert is under the direction of Sherry Simmons and is free and open to the public.
