A 35-year-old Kalispell man was sentenced in Flathead District Court May 3 to 13 months in jail after he was convicted of his fourth offense of driving under the influence.

Shawn Lafley was also given four years suspended to follow the jail time.

Lafley was stopped for speeding by a Montana Highway Patrol trooper on March 12. During the stop, Lafley failed field sobriety tests and admitted to the officer that he had been drinking. He also failed two breath alcohol tests.

His prior convictions came in August 1994, September 2007 and February 2012.
