<p>DAN JONES of Columbia Falls set a Northwestern A divisional record in the javelin Friday afternoon at Columbia Falls with a distance of 202 feet, 6 inches. That’s also a state best for all classes this season.</p>

<p>Cherry trees have begun to bloom along the shores of Flathead Lake. These blooms were at O’Fallon Orchard on the east shore of the lake just south of Woods Bay.</p>
