Naked truth: He should have known better

A man who was a little too comfortable with his own body was reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after he was seen standing in his home in front of a window, naked, staring at people going by. The woman who reported him said there were also children riding bicycles in the area. The man was warned about exposing himself and was reminded of children and other people in the area who could see him.

A Columbia Falls resident told police he or she had received death threats originating from Washington and that a car with Washington license plates had just driven by the home twice.

A man complained of people “blowing smoke and roasting tires” on East Evergreen Drive.

The owner of a motorcycle stolen Monday night found it at a home on Rose Crossing.

Panoramic Drive residents reported two dogs killed their geese. The dogs were captured and taken to the animal shelter.

A 1994 Ford truck was stolen on Browns Meadow Road in Kila.

A landlord reported tenants who damaged a rental property on Flathead Drive.

Someone slashed two tires of a vehicle on Shady Lane.

Someone threw a rock through the window of a vehicle on West Evergreen Drive.

A chainsaw and a tool box were stolen out of a truck on U.S. 2 West in Marion.

Someone kicked in a door to a foreclosed property on Fourth Avenue South in Hungry Horse and stole a grill and an all-terrain vehicle.


A Fourth Avenue East woman contacted the Kalispell Police Department after catching two people underneath her truck trying to take parts off. When her roommate yelled at them, they ran away, leaving their tools behind. They later returned to make another attempt.

A girl and her mother contacted police after the girl continued to receive threatening texts from another girl who has used another person’s phone to try and get the victim to meet her alone. The girl and her mother reported being concerned for their safety.

A woman reported someone cut all of the flowers at her Second Avenue East home and that she believed it was done by a man who walks past her house.

A man was reported carrying a crowbar and trying to break into a car on Second Street West.

A girl was cited and released to her mother after being apprehended while trying to shoplift from a store on North Main Street.


Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department cited a boy for disorderly conduct.


The Whitefish Police Department received a report of theft on Pine Avenue.


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a store that was burglarized.


Polson Police received a report of fraud at a movie theater.
