Police save men from head-ripping

A man on Fourth Street West told Kalispell Police he wanted two intoxicated men removed from his house before he started “ripping off heads.” Police arrested the two men for warrants.

Two offices on Parkway Drive were burglarized with windows broken out, a caller told the police on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier Sunday, a brown and white horse walking on Seventh Street West was returned to its owner.

An officer moved a mattress out of the roadway on First Avenue East. Earlier, a caller reported three kids jumping up and down and shouting on a mattress on the sidewalk on First Avenue East.

On First Avenue West, a woman was knocked over from behind and possibly suffered a dislocated kneecap.

Saturday, two teenage girls stole a pair of shoes from a business on U.S. 93 and drove off in a black Honda.

A purse was stolen from a possibly unlocked vehicle on Hutton Ranch Road.

A woman was arrested for theft on U.S. 93.

A rock was thrown through the front window of a house on Second Avenue West.

Kids were reportedly riding bikes and lighting fireworks on Seventh Avenue East. Police were unable to locate them.

A backpack was stolen from a car on Hutton Ranch Road.

A Second Avenue East caller complained that a corner lemonade stand has become a hangout for a bunch of teenagers who are digging up the ground below it.

Early Saturday morning, a caller told Columbia Falls Police that a rock was thrown through a vehicle windshield in a Ninth Street West parking lot.

Someone keyed and stuck tampons to a red truck on Nucleus Avenue.

A drunk woman on Martha Road who kept going outside and screaming and making dogs bark was advised by police to stay inside.

Sunday, the driver of a red Jeep Cherokee fled at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour on U.S. 2 when police tried to stop him. An officer stopped chasing because of the high speeds.

Saturday, 30 to 40 CDs stolen from an unlocked car on Park Avenue were reported to Whitefish Police.

A 350-pound black bear was seen near Creston Court. The bear headed off into the woods.

A Kalispell Avenue woman told police that someone broke into her truck and took some change.

Saturday night, a caller at a Baker Avenue business reported a crazy lady that was mean and confrontational and unwelcome at the business. Police advised the woman was unpleasant and told her not to return.

A man who was found inside what should have been a vacant apartment on Colorado Avenue was arrested.

Ronan Police arrested someone for disorderly conduct early Saturday morning at First Avenue South West and Round Butte Road.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested someone for driving under the influence Saturday afternoon on U.S. 93.
