FVCC offers new music venue, 'Gig at the Grounds'
As part of an ever-expanding music program, Flathead Valley Community College has announced plans to host periodic free concerts for the community called “Gig at the Grounds.”
“The feel will be very casual — sort of a coffee house atmosphere,” said Karla West, FVCC music program coordinator. “We want the community to have an opportunity to enjoy the broad variety of talent we have in our music program at FVCC.”
The first Gig at the Grounds will take place Tuesday and feature live music by FVCC music instructors Steve Eckels, Amy Chisholm and Kim Steiner. Future performances will feature other music faculty and students in the FVCC music program.
The college invites the community to stop by to enjoy live music and complimentary coffee at this inaugural event. Gig at the Grounds will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. near the Campus Grounds coffee bar inside the Arts and Technology Building on the college’s campus.
Coffee will be available for purchase from FVCC Campus Grounds at future events.
