Gunman turns out to be 'hollow man'

Tuesday morning, Kalispell Police got a report of a man in camouflage pointing a rifle with an orange tip on it at the fairgrounds from a nearby rooftop on West Wyoming Street. A woman said her grandson had spotted the man as they were driving by. The gunman, however, turned out to be a Halloween prop. Officers removed the dummy from the roof and left a note asking the property owner to not use guns as a prop.

A woman’s car door was kicked in at the hospital parking lot.

More than $1,000 of tools were reported stolen on Sunny View Lane.

A 20-year-old man living in a camper with a pit bull in a parking lot on Hutton Ranch Road is suspected of taking or dealing drugs because he doesn’t want to take a urine test, a caller said.

Tuesday morning, a Bigfork business owner told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that money was missing from the cash box and someone had to have a key to take it.
