'Seussical' on stage in Whitefish
Whitefish Theatre Company’s 2012 holiday musical, “Seussical,” is too much fun to miss.
“Seussical” was written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and is based on the stories of Theodor Geisel — aka Dr. Seuss. As an author, he is beloved not only for his imaginative, playful whimsy and distinct artistic style, but also for his perspective on social, political and moral issues.
Seussical weaves together many of Dr. Seuss’s characters and stories into one plotline, including the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, JoJo, Gertrude McFuzz and Mayzie LaBird to name a few.
Directors Rebecca and Nick Spear are working with a cast of 32 from throughout the Flathead Valley to bring “Seussical” to life.
"We are having such a wonderful time with this delightful show! It brings us all so much happiness and warms our hearts,” they said in a news release from the theater group. “We're very excited to share it with this amazing community!"
A preview performance is slated for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29. Tickets to this show are $10 for general seating and are available only at the door.
