Backpack leads to shoplifter

Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a man and transported another man to the hospital after a fight at a bar on U.S. 93 South.

A teenage shoplifter was detained at a business on U.S. 93 South before he managed to escape, leaving his backpack at the scene of the crime. He was later located and arrested.

Approximately $600 was stolen from a safe at the front desk of a First Avenue East business.

Several young men were advised to move along after it was reported that they were trying to sell marijuana to people in a parking lot on Hutton Ranch Road.

Someone scratched “Tex” into the side of a juvenile probation transport vehicle.

A bicyclist was reported weaving in and out of traffic on Main Street.

Someone broke into a vehicle on Treeline Road and stole several thousand dollars worth of speakers and subwoofers as well as a brand new cellphone.

A church on Second Avenue West was burglarized.

A laptop was stolen from a vehicle on Grandview Drive.

A vehicle was keyed on Third Avenue West.

A vehicle was egged on Wolfpack Way.


Whitefish Police Department officers advised a drunk man of his warrant and asked him to move along after it was reported that he was refusing to leave a bar on Central Avenue. He eventually took a taxi home.


The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of a bicycle stolen on Ninth Street West.
