Driver gets fistful of citations for crashing truck
A Flathead Valley driver got a “fistful of citations” after losing control of a truck early Sunday morning on Woodland Avenue.
The driver hit a mailbox, a utility trailer, a fence and a garage before crashing into a second garage at 1621 Woodland Ave. and damaging two cars parked inside.
Montana Highway Patrol investigated the incident and said no one was seriously injured.
Saturday night, a man made multiple calls to Kalispell Police to say he was shot at in a drive-by shooting and that people were chasing him and shooting at him. He was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
A man expressed concern about a gray Honda Pilot that “seems to be everywhere he goes.” He thinks maybe the driver is stalking him.
Earlier Saturday, someone reported people smoking marijuana at a house on Bing Court.
A woman heard a loud sound as she was driving under the railroad bridge on East Idaho Street. She found a spot on her window and said it looks like someone shot at her car.
Two juveniles were arrested for stealing items from two stores on Hutton Ranch Road.
Early Sunday morning, a man found laying on the shoulder of the road at Seventh Avenue East North and East Oregon Street was arrested for theft warrants.
Another extremely intoxicated man found laying in the road by Woodland Park was cleared by medics and taken home.
Sunday afternoon, a woman on Appleway Drive said her locked vehicle was broken into and rummaged through. She also reported some pumpkins destroyed.
Someone found drug needles on the side of a road and reported them to Columbia Falls Police on Saturday.
A business on West 13th Street reported the theft of $35 of fuel to Whitefish Police on Saturday after the customer never came back to pay for the fuel as promised.
A Central Avenue caller returned home to find the caller’s apartment door bashed in. Alcohol was the only thing taken. A neighbor at the apartment complex had a gun stolen a few weeks ago, the caller said.
A man reported his tires slashed.
