Bigfork Community Players hold auditions
Bigfork Community Players will be holding auditions for their winter production, “Airport 1904,” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 3.
This is a hilarious musical play in the old “mellerdrammer” style. “Airport 1904” takes place in the first flight school in the country, beginning in January 1904, a ridiculous concept considering the Wright brothers’ flight at Kitty Hawk was in December 1903.
Director Sue Ostergard says she is looking to have fun with this production. The cast includes three men and three women and some characters who help form the audience and extras on stage. There will also be olios, small interlude skits with musical arrangements and musicians.
This production will have parts for everyone from neophyte to ranked professional. Everyone is encouraged to try out.
Auditions will be in the community room of Bethany Lutheran Church on Montana 35 in Bigfork. Park behind the church.
A script is available at the Flathead County Library’s Bigfork branch for anyone who would like to read it ahead of auditions.
“Airport 1904” runs Feb. 14 through 24 at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
