Man wanted in Florida arrested

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man on Fourth Avenue East after being contacted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, which was searching for the man. The man had a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear for a court hearing related to cocaine possession and other charges. Kalispell Police officers aided in the arrest.

A man and woman were given one day to pick up all their trash, get tires for their motor home and move along after it was reported that they had been living behind the House of Mystery for several weeks. A chemical smell was reportedly coming from the motor home.

A nervous woman reported flashlights outside, someone rattling on her door and a person taking off after she turned her porch light on. She said the person then opened the screen door, and then she saw shadows moving across her yard. She noted that she had a 9 mm handgun on the table. The stranger on her property turned out to be a package delivery man.

A man broke the doorknob off and kicked in the door to a trailer on Frontage Road in Columbia Falls so he could get his belongings back.

A veritable barnyard was reported on Browns Meadow Road in Kila, where six cows and three goats were seen in the road.

An employee at a Woodland Park Drive business reported that a man came into the store to use the bathroom and then snuck out the back door, acting suspiciously. He was also reported to have been hiding behind the trees near the store until there were no cars around.

A pair of men were reportedly hunting in a housing development on Eagle Bend Drive in Bigfork, where shots could be heard.

A bartender at a U.S. 93 South bar in Lakeside chased a teenage boy away after he saw the boy looking in vehicles and snooping behind the building.

A man drove his truck into the Old Steel Bridge, and a witness reported the smell of alcohol coming from the truck.

A man accidentally shot toward a Lower Valley Road home while trying to kill a woodpecker. He apologized and said it would never happen again.

A group of people were reportedly shooting toward a U.S. 93 West home in Whitefish while aiming for clay pigeons.

A representative from a U.S. 93 South business in Kalispell reported that work had been completed on a trailer for another business; it had been picked up, but the buyer hadn’t yet paid the bill.

A man was reportedly panhandling on U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse, asking for beer.

A North Riding Road resident reported his neighbor put up a wire fence on his property.

A car was keyed on Shady Lane, and the victim believed the culprit was his ex-wife.

The Whitefish Police Department responded to a State Park Road home after a man and his wife got into a fight. The man initially left, and when he came back, his wife and his rifle were gone. After she was located, he left so she could come back to the home to gather some of her belongings.

A Park Avenue resident reported seeing three to four people yelling outside and breaking either beer bottles or someone’s window. All the garbage cans on that road and Columbia Avenue were knocked over, as were all the drivers education cones behind the high school.

Two possible suspects were seen leaving the area after windows were smashed on two vehicles on Baker Avenue and purses stolen.

A person was placed under arrest at the police station on an active warrant.

A smash and grab was reported to the Columbia Falls Police Department after someone smashed a window on a vehicle on Bills Lane and stole a wallet from inside.

A man was caught on video stealing candy from a supermarket on Nucleus Avenue.

Ronan Police officers arrested a motorist for illegally carrying a concealed weapon on Terrace Lake Road.

The Polson Police Department received a report of a shoplifter at a supermarket.
