Portrait artist leads workshop at Hockaday
Diana Neville Knowles will lead a portrait workshop at a Kalispell museum in December.
Knowles has many years’ experience as an artist, and her portraits hang in homes and museums around the country. Her portrait of former first lady Pat Nixon hangs in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.
Knowles’ workshops will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at the Hockaday Museum of Art, 302 Second Ave. E., Kalispell.
Students will create pastel “head and shoulders” portraits while learning drawing and flesh tones. Beginners and advanced artists alike will benefit from this small class, which has a maximum of eight students.
Gift certificates are available for workshops.
