Glacier Nationals topple Blazers

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A five-goal third period powered the Glacier Nationals to a 7-5 win over the Bellingham Blazers on Friday.

Chris Cutshall scored a hat trick and Austin Givens and Sebastian Adnell each had a goal and two assists for the Nationals, which moved into a tie for third-place in the NORPAC with the Tri-Cities Outlaws. Both teams have 15 points, but Glacier (7-2-1 NORPAC, 8-8-1 overall) has played five fewer games.

Glacier trailed 4-3 before Cutshall, Givens and Tucker Spooner potted consecutive goals in the third period.

Bellingham (5-10-1) cut its deficit to one when Cody Rich scored with 5:01 remaining in the game, but Cutshall scored on an empty net to ice it with 3 seconds left.

Bellingham hosts the Nationals again today at 8:35 p.m.
