Logo contest open to eighth-graders
Kalispell Public Schools is holding a logo contest with a chance for area eighth-graders to win a $100 gift certificate from Sportsman & Ski Haus.
The winning entry will become the logo of the district’s “Graduation Matters Kalispell” program that kicks off this year.
Graduation Matters Kalispell is part of the Office of Public Instruction’s statewide Graduation Matters Montana initiative to raise the number of college- and career-ready high school graduates through a communitywide effort.
The contest is open to eighth-graders in the district and in surrounding partner schools. The deadline to submit entries is Dec. 7.
An original logo design may be created digitally or by hand, and should contain the words “Graduation Matters Kalispell.” Entries must not contain copyrighted materials. Logos should be school neutral; school icons such as high school mascots should not be included.
Entries should be at least 5 inches by 5 inches and should not exceed 10 inches by 10 inches. Students should submit a black-and-white and a color version of their logo.
Logos may be emailed to zornd@sd5.k12.mt.us or koffordm@sd5.k12.mt.us, or mailed to Mike Kofford, 233 First Ave. E., Kalispell, MT 59901.
The winning logo will be announced Dec. 12.
