John Theodore Olson, 81, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at his home in Whitefish.
John was born June 7, 1931, in Great Falls to Goodwin Olson and Helen (McDonald) Olson.
John started his Ph.D. program at Fresno State College, then got his doctorate in psychology at USC.
John worked at Camarillo Hospital for over 30 years. He hated palm trees and could not wait to retire in California so he could return to his beloved mountains.
John is survived by his daughter, Martha Olson, of Whitefish; sister, Nancy Buehler, of Dripping Springs, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jeanette Baker, Heidi Rau, Steve Beuhler and Michael Williams; and longtime family friend, Ron Ottsen, of Whitefish.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
