Art club discusses Rivera, Kahlo

World artists Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo are up for discussion at this month’s Cultural and Art History Club meeting.

The club meets from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 11 at Stumptown Art Studio, 145 Central Ave., Whitefish. Rosella Mosteller will lead the discussion about the artists.

Topics of discussion rotate to include Montana, American and world artists. In January, the club will discuss, compare and contrast David Shaner, Mary Cassatt, Lucian Freud, Kahlo and Rivera. February’s subject is Montana artist Linden Pomroy. Andrew Wyeth, American artist, is up for discussion in March.

There is an annual membership payment to join the club, or a $5 drop-in fee.
