The Flathead Valley Community College Art Department’s fall student art show will begin with an open house from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Student Art Gallery in the Arts and Technology Building.

The show will consist of works in all media from this semester’s art courses including painting, drawing, design, ceramics, photography, graphics and jewelry. Hundreds of pieces will be on display.

During the open house, students and faculty will be working in all of FVCC’s art studios, and visitors will be encouraged to participate. Additionally, ceramics instructor David Smith and his students will conduct raku firing demonstrations outside the ceramics studio.

Refreshments will be served during the open house.

The fall student art show is free and open to the public and will remain up for viewing until Dec. 18. For more information, contact John Rawlings at 756-3896.
