Undefeated Bigfork, Polson post easy wins

BIGFORK — There seems to be no stopping Bigfork’s offense.

Colter Trent passed for 304 yards and four touchdowns, all to Chris Landon, as the fifth-ranked Vikings (6-0 overall, 3-0 league) crushed Thompson Falls (1-5, 1-1) 48-6 in a District 7B homecoming contest Friday night.

Trent, 13 of 21 passing and one interception, hit Landon on scoring strikes of 29, 53, 45 and 34 yards.

Landon finished with six receptions for 189 yards.

Austin Jordt, six of seven on PAT kicks, had four catches for 86 yards.

Bigfork’s Boyd Rieke had touchdown runs of 5 and 8 yards. He finished with 78 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Colton Oster bolted 67 yards for Bigfork’s final score.

Bigfork safety Steven Jochen had an interception.

“The offense was clicking,” Bigfork coach Todd Emslie said.

“The defense was pretty tough.”

Bigfork plays at fourth-ranked Missoula Loyola next Friday night.

FRENCHTOWN — Will Davey had touchdown receptions of 83 and 2 yards from Andrew Weltz and he also ran 70 yards for another score to pace fourth-ranked Polson in a Northwestern A victory over Frenchtown.

Polson (6-0, 3-0) totaled 410 yards (309 passing and 101 rushing) in total offense.

The Broncs’ lone score came on a 3-yard run from David Anderson.

Daniel Lebsock rushed for 209 yards on 34 attempts for Frenchtown (3-2, 1-1).

Polson plays at Libby while Frenchtown visits Columbia Falls on Friday.

HAVRE — Four touchdown passes by freshman quarterback Dane Warp helped Havre (3-4) knock off Libby (3-4) in a Class A nonconference contest.

Libby quarterback Jared Winslow threw three touchdown passes to three different players.

Libby is back in Northwestern A action on Friday hosting Polson.

EUREKA — Chris Ibach ran for 128 yards on nine carries and scored four touchdowns to lead Eureka to an easy District 7B victory over winless Plains.

Ibach’s scoring jaunts were 15, 29, 19 and 28 yards.

Dalton Smith caught two touchdown passes from Austin Perez and returned an interception 43 yards for another score.

Eureka (2-4, 2-0) led 36-0 after the opening quarter.

Eureka had 355 yards in total offense to 75 for Plains.

Eureka plays at Thompson Falls on Friday.
