Class A soccer: Stevi eliminates Bigfork in OT

BIGFORK — Bigfork coach Keith Koslosky had one word for it — “heartbreaker.”

Joseph Fecteau, who assisted on a goal at 65 minutes to tie the match, scored in the 99th minute to give Stevensville a 3-2 overtime victory over Bigfork (7-6-1) on Saturday in the first round of the Class A soccer playoffs.

“I’m proud of the way the kids played,” Koslosky said.

“The whole team played fantastic. They played with their hearts ... they left it all on the field.”

Bigfork enjoyed a 2-0 edge at halftime on goals by Austin Gordon and Matt Killian.

Gordon assisted on the second one.

Joseph Daniels scored at 57 and 65 minutes for Stevensville.

“Just unlucky,” Koslosky said.

“Unlucky.

“It was so much fun to watch,” he added.

“It was a great match. I just want to thank the boys for a wonderful season.”

Bigfork outshot Stevensville 19-4 and held a big edge in corner kicks, 9-4.

Stevensville (8-4-1) moves on to semifinal play on Saturday.
