| October 15, 2012 7:30 PM

Whitefish Mountain Resort has been named the No. 11 overall resort in the country in SKI magazine’s 2013 readers poll.

The highest previous ranking for the Whitefish resort was No. 18 in 2000-01. The resort jumped 11 spots from No. 22 last winter.

“This ranking is truly a reflection of our dedicated employees who consistently provide our customers with an experience that is personal and fun, as well as all the businesses throughout the community that deliver quality products and services to our visitors,” Whitefish Mountain Resort President Dan Graves said in a news release.

Of the top 30, Whitefish is the only resort with a lift ticket under $70. This year’s single-day lift ticket is $67, and drops to $61 per day for two or more days.

Whitefish’s No. 11 ranking is determined by a combination of reader scores across 20 different categories, including digital presence (sixth), value (10th), family programs (10th), service (11th), grooming (11th), lifts (11th), lodging (13th), terrain parks (13th), off-hill activities (13th), character (15th), overall satisfaction (15th), après-ski (16th), on-mountain food (16th), dining (16th), scenery (20th), terrain/variety (20th), terrain/challenge (21st); snow (24th), access (34th), and weather (46th).
