Class B volleyball: Vals sweep Plains

PLAINS — The Bigfork volleyball team picked up its second win of the season, sweeping Plains on the road Tuesday, 25-17, 25-14, 25-19.

Tessa Robertson led the Valkyries with six kills and five aces, Lana Berg had an astounding seven blocks and Marissa Hiza led the back row with eight digs.

The Vals host Troy on Saturday for senior night in their last game before playoffs.

Kills – Bigfork 19 (Tessa Robertson 6), Plains 12 (Jessica Hansen 4, Leah Thompson 3). Blocks – Bigfork 12 (Lana Berg 7), Plains 4 (Lilly Huenick 2). Digs – Bigfork 15 (Marissa Hiza 8), Plains 12 (Kimberly Earhart 4). Assists – Bigfork 10 (Kayla Casalegno 7), Plains 10 (Felicia Earhart, Sami Kinzie 5). Aces – Bigfork 10 (Robertson 5), Plains 8 (Felicia Earhart 3).
