Corpron, Denneys wrap up season racing titles at MRP
Tyler Corpron capped of a banner season in the Legends, placing third in that division’s final main event of the season last Saturday night at Montana Raceway Park and claiming the season points championship as well.
Dalton Halden took the checkered flag in the main event.
Brock Denney wrapped up the Young Gun Division (ages 12-14) title in the Bandoleros while Bryce Denney won the season points chase in the Bandit Division (8-11). Brock finished first with Bryce second in the Bandoleros’ final main event of the 2012 campaign.
Corpron, who pulled double duty on the night, won the main event in the Super Stocks.
The other main-event winner was Dustin Martel in the Hobby Stocks.
Two weekends of action are left with the Super Late Model Championship this Saturday, featuring a 100-lap main event. Also on the high-banked, quarter-mile oval are the Bombers and Hornets.
The schedule concludes Sept. 15 with the season championships for Super Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Bombers and Hornets.
