Woman says threatening man is back

A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Sunday to report that a man who was jailed after threatening to kill her last week was out of jail and had returned to camping on a nearby property in the Columbia Falls area.

A man calling from Shady Lane in Evergreen reported that transients were camping on a neighbor’s property, and he believes they are coming onto his property as well.

A firearm was reported stolen from an unlocked vehcle on Lakeside Boulevard.

There was a report of two men on all-terrain vehicles threatening him and his son for crossing a property in the Murray Ridge area west of Whitefish, even though the two men don’t own the property. The two men later said that they were the ones who were being threatened.

Someone apparently stole beer and jerky from a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. The thief was caught on camera before leaving the store.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop Monday that resulted in a DUI charge on U.S. 93 near Ronan.

Deputies also responded to a report of family member assault at a trailer park.

A vehicle was reported stolen from a local car lot.

A suicide attempt was reported at the Lake County Detention Facility.

Polson Police Department responded Monday to theft complaints on First Street West and Second Street West and a DUI report at a local convenience store.

The department also responded to a family member assault at a Highway 93 address.
