Hiker breaks ankle in the Jewel

Emergency workers with the Bigfork Fire Department responded to Jewel Basin Friday afternoon to carry out a hiker who had fractured an ankle.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to a business on Sunny View Lane where a 6-year-old boy was assaulted in a bathroom and  bleeding from the mouth. The suspect, a 19-year-old autistic man, was apprehended after locking himself in his vehicle in the parking lot.

A concerned person contacted police to admit selling drugs to someone at a U.S. 93 residence two years prior. The confession came after the caller found out someone else had been accused of the crime and a warrant for that person’s arrest had been issued.

Officers transported a 45-year-old woman to the emergency room after she was reported being “high on something” by her roommate at their Ponderosa Street residence. The roommate said she was walking around acting strangely, and then took off all her clothes. The roommate then became angry and threatened to use pepper spray,  saying she was going to defend her residence, “if you know what I mean.”

A South Meadows Drive resident reported her son took her vehicle without permission in the morning, and it was returned that afternoon on a flatbed truck, completely stripped.

A teenage boy was apprehended and taken back to high school for school violations after being reported looking at sunglasses in the back of a store on Hutton Ranch Road. The boy is a suspect in a prior theft of sunglasses at the same store.

An extremely drunk man entered the lobby of a business on U.S. 93 South and, after refusing to leave several times, passed out.

Someone spray painted a fire hydrant gold on Eighth Street West.

Someone stole three rolls of carpet and 500 feet of pad from a rental unit on North Main Street.

A Coach purse and prescription medication were stolen from a shelter on Denver Avenue.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a Patrick Creek Road resident who reported that a man and woman had held a revolver to his head and threatened him after he confronted them for cutting roads in on his property and stealing his timber. They walked away after police were called.

A short time later, three men approached the resident on his property and he pulled a gun on them. They threatened to kill the man and his family. The resident reported the people lived in rental units abutting his property.

A garbage truck was reported driving south on U.S. 93 North and losing trash out of the back ever since it had left the dump.

A teenage boy was apprehended and released to his mother after a woman reported he had just tried to steal her bicycle on West Cottonwood Drive.

An Arbour Drive resident chased off two teenage boys who were rummaging through his vehicle.

A woman was arrested on a warrant on North Meridian Road.

A man was bit by a dog on U.S. 2 East.

A vehicle was egged and floured on Morning View Drive.

Someone cut the lock off of and burglarized a storage unit on Montana 35 in Kalispell. Items stolen from inside were pawned at the shop where the renter of the unit works.

A men’s Rolex watch and two bags of coins were stolen from a home on Apple Lane.

A handmade wooden sign saying “Lost Prairie Ranch” was stolen on Lower Lost Prairie Road in Marion.

Paperwork and a jack were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Sweebee Lane in Columbia Falls.

Herbal medication was reported stolen.

Tires were stolen on Rocky Cliff Drive.

Columbia Falls Police officers arrested a man after he “swung their car through a building” and got it hung up on a curb.

A person was arrested following a brief pursuit on Veteran Drive.

A girl’s white Schwinn bicycle was stolen on 12th Street West.

Whitefish Police officers made three arrests over Thursday night into Friday morning.

A person was arrested during an extra patrol on Spokane Avenue, during a traffic stop on Wisconsin Avenue and following investigation into a fight on Central Avenue.

Disorderly conduct was reported on Hospital Way.

Polson Police officers investigated a report of disorderly conduct at a bar on U.S. 93.

Officers investigated an incident of partner or family member assault on Seventh Avenue East.

Forgery was reported at a grocery store.
