Man struck by car, ribs broken

Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a motorist after a 23-year-old man was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot on Woodland Park Drive. The victim suffered broken ribs in the accident. The motorist initially left the scene but was later located and arrested.

Officers dealt with a drunken pedestrian twice after he first passed out in the bed of someone else’s pickup truck on Appleway Drive and refused to leave, then later showed up on U.S. 2, where he asked for a cab, walked outside, then walked back in and asked where his car was. A taxi later showed up to pick him up.

A man reported his 11-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted.

A group of drunk people, possibly dealing drugs and fighting, fled before officers were able to respond to an alley off Second Avenue East.

A pair of boys were reported using a strap to dangle and bounce from a light pole on Hutton Ranch Road.

An Airport Road family was reported to Child and Parent Services after a nearby resident notified police that a 3- or 4-year-old boy had been throwing something against the door of his home and crying for 20 minutes because he couldn’t get inside.

A 10th Avenue West resident came home to find the glass in their front door broken out and a rock sticking out of the window. It did not appear anyone had gone inside, and the resident reported he had just broken up with his girlfriend that day and had received “disturbing” phone messages.

A security guard at a Hutton Ranch Road business requested extra patrols after 10 p.m. because the store was having a big sale the following day and people would be camping out in front.

A pair of boys were reported playing in a playground on Second Street West while one was wearing a rabbit mask and the other was wearing a wolf mask.

A pair of teenage girls in skinny jeans were transported to the Flathead County Juvenile Detention Center after they were reported drinking alcohol on Hutton Ranch Road.

A man was arrested for driving under the influence after being reported staggering while outside his vehicle at a West Idaho Street gas station.

A Sixth Street West resident reported several items had previously been stolen from her house and she had since found them on Craigslist.

A radio and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle on Sunny View Lane.

An unlocked vehicle was burglarized on U.S. 93 North.

A bicycle was stolen on U.S. 93 South.

The Columbia Falls Police Department responded to 13th Street West after a 17-year-old boy and several other students were reported drunk by the football field for a soccer game. All of the youths were with their parents.

A 10th Avenue West resident reported their neighbor put dog feces on his car after complaining to him that his dog was defecating in their yard, even though he said the dog was fenced in.

A motorist drove away from a U.S. 93 South gas station without paying for $20 worth of fuel.

Whitefish Police Department officers arrested a person during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South.

Thefts were reported on Hazel Place and Denver Street.

Disorderly conduct was reported on Baker Avenue.

Polson Police Department officers investigated a report of assault with a weapon on Fourth Avenue.
