Neighbors fighting like cats and dogs

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a La Brant Road resident in Bigfork after a neighbor came over with a pistol to complain that a dog was in his yard with a dead cat in its mouth. The neighbor threatened to throw the dead cat through the resident’s window and said he wanted to get all the Canadians out of the area. The angry neighbor apparently didn’t own the cat, but was angry that it had been killed.

A 15-year-old girl in Evergreen reportedly bruised an 8-year-old boy hitting him 25 times with the metal end of a belt, bruising his right thigh.

A man was arrested on Montana 35 after deputies responded to a home where a girl was being held against her will by her boyfriend, according to a text she sent to her parents. The boyfriend is a registered sex offender after being convicted of child molestation. The pair had a history of living together.

A Montana 35 resident reported people in a red Jeep Cherokee were scoping out his house and waiting for him to leave. The resident said he had items stolen in the past and he believes they were involved.

An Aero Lane resident in Bigfork reported her ex-husband came into her house and took personal documents several months ago and now claims he has lost her birth certificate and other paperwork.

A Third Avenue West woman contacted the Kalispell Police to report that her son was passed out in the yard and seemed like he was “not all there.” It was determined that he was drunk.

A man was kicked out of a bar on North Meridian Road after trying to start several fights and taking a couple swings at the bartender.

A man with a walker was transported to the hospital after he was reported sleeping in bushes on U.S. 93 South.

A pair of buck knives were stolen on First Avenue East North.

Columbia Falls Police received a report from a woman who heard glass breaking in or around her house overnight and discovered a crack in her bathroom window the following day, which she believed to be caused either by a rock or a bullet.
