COLUMBIA FALLS — The Stillwater Christian (4-3, 2-0 conference) boys found some space behind the Columbia Falls defense in the second half on Tuesday, scoring four breakaway goals to beat the Wildcats 4-1.

Stillwater Christian starting goalkeeper Cole Moore moved to forward after a scoreless first half. The move paid off for the Cougars as Moore opened the scoring in the 47th minute. Josh Bray scored the next three for the Cougars.

Keenan Jessap netted the only goal for Columbia Falls.

“After a scoreless first half we relaxed a bit and finished well,” Stillwater Christian coach Tim Anderson said. “It was exciting to see our starting keeper score when he was moved up to the forward position. The team played with great energy, enthusiasm and teamwork.”

Anderson said his back four of Noah Hasley, Jarron Neumann, BJ Bach and Derek Vander Ark played great defense in addition to sparking the offense.

“Several of the attacks that resulted in goals started from solid play in the back,” he said.

Stillwater travels to Summit Prep Monday.
