The Bulldogs had to make sure to cover every hit on offense, trying to counter Frenchtown’s strong block. After cruising in the first set, Whitefish had a fight on its hands, as the Broncs came up with 18 blocks and had 85 digs.

“They had a really strong block, I think the strongest in the conference,” Whitefish coach Sarah Scott said. “We just had to find some holes on the court take advantage of. We had to play smarter than we normally do.”

The plan worked as Whitefish took the last two sets.

“Throughout whole match saw a lot of confidence out of Whitefish,” Scott said. “The self assuredness was defintely a positive change.”
