Larry 'Beetle' Dean Walter, 53
Larry “Beetle” Dean Walter, 53, of Great Falls, passed away Sept. 12, 2012, of prostate cancer at Peace Hospice of Montana.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in the Rose Room at Croxford Funeral Home in Great Falls with the Rev. John Lefebre officiating.
Larry was born Nov. 21, 1958, to Lawrence and Eleanor Joan (Lott) Walter in Warrensburg, Mo. He was raised in Somers, and graduated from Flathead High School in 1977.
He married Francie Noziska in Kalispell in 1978, and they later divorced in 1987. In 1991, he married Dodie Lefebre in Kalispell.
Larry was a hard worker. He started work at an early age at Sliters Lumber in Somers. Larry moved to Great Falls in 1987, and there he worked at Lumber Yard Supply. He then went on to work for Johnson Madison Lumber for a number of years. He delivered appliances for a time at Ecklunds. Then in 2001 he started at Wal-Mart, as a people greeter and ended up as the meat department manager for nine years.
He loved bowling, fishing and keeping his yard pristine. His true passion was his grandchildren. Larry always made time to spend with them and his family.
Larry is survived by his wife, Dodie (Lefebre) Walter; mother, Joan Walter; daughters, Kari-Lynn (Murphy) Frank, Katie Walter and Kimberly (Walter) Chiavaras; sons, Billy Murphy and Christopher Murphy; brother, Frank Walter; and seven grandchildren, all of Great Falls.
He was preceded in death by his father.
