C-Falls sweeps Polson in soccer

POLSON — The Columbia Falls girls didn’t take long to take control of their Northwestern A soccer match against Polson, scoring four times in the first 10 minutes in a 10-0 win on Friday.

The Wildkats’ Alexi Corbett scored just two minutes in, then proceeded to assist on three more goals before capping the game with a goal on a corner kick.

Lindsay Strouse scored a hat trick for the Wildkats and Katie Price also scored twice, while assisting on one.

The match was rescheduled from Thursday because of a referee shortage.

POLSON — Conner Williams scored two late goals to pull out a Northern A victory for Columbia Falls.

Williams netted the game-winning goal in the 57th minute, adding another three minutes later to secure the win for the Wildcats.

Polson took an early lead when Morgan Moll scored on an assist from Jonah Kasmitz in the 36th minute. Columbia Falls tied the game just before half on a goal from Casey Burghduff.
