Garbage-loving bear in Evergreen

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a bear getting into garbage at an Addison Square home in Evergreen.

A crossing guard reported a woman who drove across the crosswalk on West Wyoming Street while the guard was walking a child across the road, coming very close to hitting them both.

People were reported urinating in a parking lot on U.S. 2 East.

Several people were reported sitting in a minivan in a parking lot on Hutton Ranch Road drinking beer, with open beers sitting on the dashboard.

A man was reported for stealing items from a Montclair Drive business and trying to sell them back the next morning.

A .44-caliber Smith and Wesson was stolen from a U.S. 93 South home in Whitefish.

Jewelry was stolen from a Spruce Hollow Trail home.

A theft from an unlocked vehicle was reported on East Bowman Drive.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report that a Greatview Drive man let his 7-year-old daughter drive his pickup truck while sitting on his lap. She ran over a trash can.

A report of a woman screaming to call the cops turned out to be two girls playing inside a house.

A Second Avenue East resident reported a neighbor was selling drugs from their apartment; the caller had seen people going in and out of the apartment carrying plastic bags believed to contain marijuana.
